About ToolBoost
ToolBoost (also known as ToolBoostPro IDE) is a free online code editor with AI built in. It runs entirely in the browser, so anyone with a laptop or a phone can write and run code without installing an IDE, a language runtime or a desktop AI tool.
Why it exists
Good AI coding tools usually come as paid desktop apps. ToolBoost brings the core of that experience — AI autocomplete, inline edits and a chat assistant that understands your code — to a page you can open anywhere, for free.
What it does
- Runs code in the browser: JavaScript, Python (via Pyodide/WebAssembly), HTML and CSS with live preview.
- AI assistance: ghost-text autocomplete, Ctrl+K inline edits, side-by-side diffs and an AI chat with full editor context.
- Works on phones: a mobile-friendly layout for coding on Android and iPhone.
- Your files, your control: upload, download or export your project as a .zip.
How it works
The editor is built on Monaco, the engine behind VS Code. AI features use free models through OpenRouter. Code execution happens locally in your browser tab.
Support the project
ToolBoost is free to use. If it helps you, you can support development with a donation from inside the editor.
